March 28, 2017 – Alicia Voltmer was a presenter at the GDRA’s “Industry Tool Chest—Restaurant Employment Trends 2017” at the March meeting of the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association. The topical roundtable covered potential changes in enforcement priorities of the EEOC and Department of Labor, how that might affect business and what businesses can do to prepare, and also discussed the FLSA and issues relevant to the restaurant industry such as tip credits, tip pooling, and the classification of managers, as well as the continuing challenge to the new overtime salary requirements.
